DCTS Mushroom - The Creature of Anger DCTS Mushrooms are unpredictable due to their ability to produce mycotoxins continuously, and are described as the deadly, dangerous version of NokiFlowers. These mushrooms are half fungi and half human, a human body with a mushroom top, head to be specific, similar to NokiFlowers. These creatures don’t move, only move a little when they’re threatened; if not, then guaranteed to just stay in the same position as when they transformed. They are cold-blooded creatures, unlike the nokiflowers; they don’t try to escape and scream when threatened, they just release more mycotoxins targeting the threat. Their victims contain all living fauna that have the function to breathe or have some kind of way for the mycotoxins to enter their bodies. And yes, this does include other emotion-based creatures on the list. The function of the mycotoxins is not to induce fatal toxicity, but rather to exert a form of neurological manipulation akin to mind control. Those released psychotropic spores do not always work; in some fauna, inhalation results only in standard toxic effects. This is due to the mycotoxins being incompatible with the specific physiology of those specific organisms. But when the toxins find their compatible host, the host body will then experience a major increase in levels of adrenaline, norepinephrine, dopamine, glutamate, acetylcholine, testosterone, and cortisol, while simultaneously suffering from decreased levels of serotonin and oxytocin. This would make them uncontrollably furious for no reason; they stopped thinking about everything and would suffer for hours in their furious, itchy body. After a few hours, the victim then starts to feel hungry, to the point that they would attack any other living organism around them, no matter if they are way bigger, more dangerous, or even the same kind as other affected hosts. Similar to a hungry lion, the victims will do everything they can to kill their surrounding fauna, a kill-or-be-killed kind of behaviour. When the affected victim successfully killed their target, they would unconsciously try to bring some of the body parts, bits of the dead body, towards the host Mushroom and feed it by pushing, squeezing the food into the gills of the mushroom head, allowing it to consume the food slowly over time. The monster’s furious victim will then keep the process going, attack, kill, and bring food back to the host mushroom to feed it, until they are killed, stop, or the host mushroom dies. It is also normal for some of the affected victims to feast on the dead body a little bit before bringing some back to the creature. If no food is brought to a DCTS mushroom after a few days after its last meal, the creature will naturally decay, breaking down and merging with the soil, and once again, similar to nokiflowers, enriching it and helping the environment flourish thanks to their death. We highly recommend that you eliminate any encountered DCTS Mushrooms as soon as possible. If you manage to get close to them, you can do so by tearing their mushroom head apart, and that’s all it takes. If you feel angry all of a sudden, for no reason. Lock yourself in an empty room and throw the key out of your window. Do anything in your power to keep yourself locked. Immediately contact the local IEBCRO station to inform us about your location and the mushroom location, too, if you are unable to eliminate it. Stay far away from the affected victims, too. DCTS Mushrooms would be considered a major threat to humanity, but luckily for us, the chances of their mycotoxins being compatible with a host are fairly low. Research in certain areas has been conducted around areas where there are signs of DCTS mycotoxins in the air. Only less than 2% of humans and other animals in those areas are compatible with the spores, and about a 4% chance of insect-related related being compatible with the toxins. Therefore, DCTS Mushrooms doesn’t have a strong, solid defence mechanism, making them vulnerable to natural threats, like wild mushroom-eating animals and insects, KiMoths, and our aimed agent. The main reason that makes this creature a moderate threat to humanity is the massive quantity of them, matching the population of Nokiflowers. However, if a DCTS successfully consumes 7 to 14 humans, it would begin metamorphic and transform into an elder DCTS Mushroom. And the chances of compatibility increase. This Elder variant has a mega-thin compressed human body, and appears to be way taller than its’ weaker counterpart, Its mycotoxins have developed strong enough till the point that no living being dares to come close to it, even when they are completely incompatible with the toxins, this is because when the spores made it inside the living organism’s body, it will not only force chemical release and instinct manipulation, it would also cause guaranteed severe burn feeling inside of the victim. Preventing even KiMoths from ever daring to come closer. They form a more solid, humidity-moist outer layer; the liquid substance around its body is the liquid form of the mycotoxins, which is acidic enough to eat through human skin in seconds at touch. The scariest part of this variant is that it now moves way more actively and freely, like wild predators, allowing them to hunt more efficiently. Elder DCTS’s affected victims don’t kill and bring food to them anymore, instead, they only kill and lead the Elder variant to the corpse's location, this monster mushroom then will expand their mushroom head, lean towards the body and swallow it as a whole, if the affected victim somehow dies, this elder variant know exactly where the dead body is, and will promptly consume the dead body. They are patient and significantly more intelligent in this form. However, they are not fast and must rely on their infected minions or set traps to capture prey. They frequently move around to find areas where living organisms are abundant, in case their minions don’t arrive on time. After a few days, if nothing guides them to the corpse, they return to a previously chosen location. There, they smoothly sink into the ground, leaving only their mushroom-like head exposed, and switch to a radius-based hunting style. They stop releasing airborne mycotoxins and instead begin compressing and storing them, transforming the toxins into a more potent and guaranteed-lethal form. When a desired target steps into the 20-meter radius of a hungry Elder DCTS Mushroom's domain, the creature opens a small hole facing the target and fires the compressed toxin at incredible speed, similar to the way an elder KiMoth hunts. Unlike their earlier toxins, this new mycotoxin is not meant for control. Its sole purpose is to rapidly break down the target on the spot. Their now underground body would extend itself from the neck, slowly moving closer to the dead target, grabbing them with their whole body like a giant hand, capturing the dead body underground to consume. Though this process wastes some nutrients, as the mycotoxin partially digests the target on contact, it is still used as an emergency method to maintain the elder form. We highly recommend that you keep applying most of what we inform you to do with the normal DCTS Mushroom, but this time, stay away from this elder variant as far as possible, since they’re no longer easy for a normal human being to take care of. If you think or know that you are in a hungry DCTS mushroom’s domain, run in random zigzags as fast as you can, gradually moving out of the creature’s control radius. Afterwards, contact IEBCRO immediately, before the creature notices and relocates. This method gives you a better chance of avoiding being hit by the mycotoxin bullet. DCTS Mushroom always knows your exact location as long as you remain within its domain, and it can fire toxins multiple times, with perfect precision. Therefore, standing still or hiding is not an effective strategy. If the elder variant fails to consume 7 to 14 living fauna within a month, it is punished by reverting to its normal DCTS mushroom form, repeating the cycle once again.
