MARETCH - The Creature of Isolation
MARETCH is the most hostile one we've come across so far; they are the result of over-isolated humans.
If an individual doesn’t take part in physical contact with any other animals for over 7 days, they would naturally join the MARETCH’s army. The same day as the first ever MARETCH was formed, it immediately got noticed by our organisation, but 5 humans have already been consumed, and due to the steep spread of the curse and its smart and fast hunting styles, MARETCH has become one of the top Apex predators on earth.
These species have a flexible body, a grey leathery look, short but incredibly fast legs, and long, fast arms. Completely distinct from other creatures, they do not have organs; they do have a dark, hollow face and can modify their skin durability feats whenever needed as a defensive measure against threats like guns, swords, or wild animals. We’ve conducted multiple studies on the creature’s limb. Despite being completely separated from its original body, it still retains the ability to alter its durability. It becomes extremely dense when hit by a bullet and highly flexible when cut with a knife. When we try both at the same time, shooting and slashing areas as close together as possible, one part becomes dense while the other becomes flexible, even at nearly the same spot. The skin changes its characteristics before it gets hit by the threats, confirming that every cell in this creature's body holds its own sense and control. They don’t kill, bite, or hit the victims before consumption. These creatures hold an unnatural strength, which allows them to just hug and squeeze the victims, slowly forcing their bodies inside their empty, void-like interior through the face, consuming them alive, no matter how strong or what weapons the victims have. They’re highly intelligent and fast, which makes them incredibly hard to capture or even find despite using real-time CCTV footage.
Their ability to slide through tight spaces smoothly, leaving no traces and sounds, is also a distinct feature that makes MARETCH one of the most difficult to capture monsters on earth. These creatures, unfortunately, only feast on humans; their diet is composed of two specific human types. The overly extroverted and the overly introverted. They spend days stalking their target victims whenever the victims go outside. Their unique skin colour allows them to blend into both day and night environments. MARETCH are highly intelligent creatures; they avoid areas with high human activity and nestle around remote locations during the day. They move to crowded areas during the middle of the night, looking for their specific victim. But, MARETCH has this strange behaviour; despite being hostile, they would take their time to observe the victim for a long amount of time before consumption. There are footages which shows these creatures just standing there, staring silently at the victim sleeping in bed, standing still in a fixed form. If the victim suddenly wakes up, the MARETCH will begin consumption right away. Tyke Mison, a world-famous boxing champion, was killed by a MARETCH two days ago. Camera footage showed the creature watching him sleep for three nights in a row before finally acting. His death proves that human physical strength is no match against these beings. Even more strangely, if the victim does not wake up by midnight, the creature will slowly walk out of their house as the sun gradually rises, back into its nestle. They would keep repeating this action until the victim makes their mistake, finds a different target, gets interfered with, is eliminated, or captured.
Notably, we found that some of the victims don’t always die, even after being eaten by a MARETCH. Some individuals were clearly captured by the room's existing cameras, showing them being consumed by the monster. A few days later, those same victims appear in random countries still alive, but in a deep sleep. DNA tests using hair left at the crime scene confirm their identities. When they wake up, they have no memories of who they are and show the intelligence of a baby, as if their minds were completely wiped. However, this only happens in rare cases; most MARETCH victims either remain missing or are fully consumed.
We highly suggests you to sleep in groups, but if you can’t, open your eyes slowly whenever you wake up, try your best to limit any body movements at the process, squint your eyes enough for you to look around and appears to be sleeping at the same time, If you notice a presence of a MARETCH in your room, stay calmed, fake sleeping until the monsters decides to leave your house.
