Inamori - The Creature of Regret
Inamori is the only creature that has never been the subject of deep research, due to its vague existence and abilities. They are speculated to emerge from humans' profound, overwhelming regret. Although their existence was not confirmed physically, many survivors claim that they do exist and that only they at the time can see the Inamori.
Similar to MARETCH, their target is only composed of humans, specifically criminals, the regretful, and the bedridden. Based on survivors’ descriptions, Inamori has a tall, wide, human-like figure, a square-like body, just a thick, heavy-looking pair of legs, and two long, thin arms with no fingers. Their heads are spiky, and the most notable feature is the clock hand in front of their flat surface face. They described that the clock hand doesn’t move in the order of time, but it moves based on their mental state; the more positive, non-regrets they are, the greater the chance for the clock hand to move anticlockwise and vice versa.
Inamori will only show themselves when the victim is in a relaxed, non-active position, for example, sitting, lying down, or standing still. It doesn’t hide from cameras or other humans and doesn’t attack. Instead, they only communicate with the victims.
They will try their best to suck out all the life forces from them solely through communication. If you have an Inamori with you, don’t waste your time calling us, or any other people; no one can help you, mainly because to tell whether the creature is there or not is impossible. Even if we can confirm you have an Inamori with you in some manner, there is still no way to help.
The people who are lost to Inamori will no longer have a chance to live their normal lives anymore; they’re still living, but their skin looks pale, their mouths wide open in an uncanny way, it’s like they’re expressing (I DON’T BELIEVE THIS). They refuse to eat and drink, which would later result in guaranteed death by thirst or hunger, and they also refuse to communicate, just sit or lie in a still position. Sometimes, unpredictably, they will just start to cry or scream really loudly for a few minutes.
Experiments on these victims were then done for research purposes, and we tested to see how they reacted to pain. The result is that when harmed, they will start talking in a weird language that humans have never heard before, just start talking in a robotic, straight tone continuously, nonstop. Interestingly, the more extreme the pain is, the faster and louder they talk, and they also stop randomly crying or screaming, too.
We recommend staying fixed with your current emotions; their words will make it inside your head regardless, so be prepared to argue back to protect what you stand for before encountering the creature. Don’t waste your chances, try to argue with the monster, it won’t listen, try to argue with the new thoughts now inside your head, defend your old thoughts at all costs, even if they’re wrong. The moment you agree with one sentence the creature makes, the worse your mental state is, and the worse your mental state is, the clock hand moves more clockwise. Once the clock hand finishes a straight 24-hour clockwise cycle, you’ll lose all of your life force. But if the clock hand finishes a straight 24-hour anticlockwise cycle, the monster will leave you alone, and you will survive.
